About the Event

Wall Street Girls and The Kidz Money Project are collaborating to host an exciting panel discussion on Women in Finance. Join us on Thursday, April 8th @ 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM PT to hear from three incredible women – Andrea Kovacs, Judy Hoberman, and Lara Butler. They will be sharing their journeys into finance, their experiences as women in a male-dominated industry, advice for other women interested in breaking into finance, and their thoughts on cultivating financial literacy among young women. This discussion is a fantastic opportunity to connect with female leaders who have forged this path, ask questions, and learn more about the financial industry. All are encouraged to attend!

Meet Our Panelists

Andrea Kovacs

Andrea Kovacs is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business class of 2021, and will be joining Wells Fargo as an Investment Banking Associate on the Mergers & Acquisitions team this summer. Prior to pursuing her MBA, she spent four years at Bank of America working in both corporate finance and commercial banking. Andrea attended undergrad at the University of Florida and graduated class of 2015. Andrea is passionate about inspiring women and candidates from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in finance. She has experience as both a coach and mentor focusing on helping people develop their interview and negotiation skills.

Judy Hoberman

Judy Hoberman is an award-winning, international speaker, best-selling author, trainer and leading authority on women in leadership. With over 3 decades in business, she combines wisdom and humor with her behavior shaping insights, impacting audiences of thousands as well as small groups and individuals through her 1:1 executive coaching and mentoring. Judy was a TEDx speaker and is also the author of four books, including “Selling in a Skirt” and “Walking on the Glass Floor.” She offers a training program that concentrates on women in leadership and the men who champion them, with emphasis on redefining culture. 

Lara Butler

Lara Butler is a member of Chartwell's Advisory team and is experienced in advising companies on a wide range of topics including strategic alternatives, ESOP transactions, executive compensation, and evaluating strategies for long-term sustainability. Lara previously served in Chartwell’s Valuation practice where she gained experience analyzing financial statements, gathering due diligence information, and analyzing public markets. Prior to joining Chartwell, Lara was a financial analyst at IBM, where she managed financial transactions for large organizations. Lara graduated summa cum laude with a B.S.B.A. in finance and marketing from Creighton University.
